5 things Alexandra can’t live without

1. Friends & Family

My family and friends are one of the most important parts of my life. I'm very close with my parents, younger sister, and fiancé, and I've also met some of my closest friends through soccer and my time at Western University. I'm very fortunate to have such a strong support system and definitely wouldn't be where I am today without them!

2. Sports

Sports have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing a variety of sports competitively, especially soccer and basketball, and eventually had the opportunity to play soccer at the university level in both NCAA Division I and USPORTS. Being part of competitive sports has shaped so much of who I am and has taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, resilience, and having fun along the way. I also love watching sports just as much as I love playing them. You can usually find me cheering on the Buffalo Bills or watching whatever big game is on!

3. Travel

I absolutely love travelling and have been fortunate enough to experience some pretty amazing places, both through soccer and on my own. Over the past few years, I've had the opportunity to visit Portugal, Scotland, and France, and each trip has given me memories that I'll always cherish. One of the most special trips was travelling to Scotland with my mom and getting to see where my grandfather grew up. I'm always looking forward to planning the next adventure!

4. Exercise

Staying active has always been an important part of my life. I especially love lifting weights and running, as they help me feel strong, confident, and empowered. I also love being active outdoors, especially in the summer when I'm at the cottage. One of my favourite things to do is wake surf with friends and family. Whether I'm at the gym, out for a run, or on the water, I always feel my best when I'm moving!

5. Music

I love all kinds of music, from current hits to old classics, and there's pretty much a song for every mood or occasion. Music has been a constant throughout some of the biggest moments in my life. It got me through countless study sessions and late nights throughout university, and it was always part of my pre-game routine before big soccer games. I love how certain songs can bring back specific memories or completely change your mood, so my playlists are always changing depending on what I'm doing!
